Documentary series visits Tyrrells Crisps

The crisp company is the star of the fourth and final episode of British Made with John Prescott, which was shown on Channel 5 at 8pm on May 10 2019

During the filming of the series, the former Deputy Prime Minster visited some of the factories that have been making some of the UK’s favourite food and drink, during which he was discovering the secret of the business’ success.

In this episode Lord Prescott visited Tyrrells Court Farm, where he discovered the journey the locally sourced potatoes make from the field to our stores, and how the hand-cooked crisps are created by Tyrrells.

The photo shows Potato Procurement Manager, Patrick Lewis with John Prescott, as he observed how the hand grading of the crop according to their size, as well as seeing how the frying and flavouring processes happens.

Lord Prescott's aim in this series was to show how small business help grow and develop our economy by improving employment and show just how vital they our to the British economy, along with our way of life.
