Gamber Logistics

Gamber Logistics
Gamber entered into the transport business in 2001. This was shortly after a fuel crisis and being told by one of it’s main hauliers that prices were due to rise by 25%. Since then the fleet has risen from one tractor unit and two trailers up to five tractor units during harvest period and twelve trailers. These comprise of insulated taut liners, refrigerated trailers, flat beds and bulkers.
The haulage team under the management of transport manager Adrian Griffiths carry out a wide range of general haulage away from potatoes, which includes blue chip customers such as Rank Xerox and Bulmers.
Lorries are on the road 24 hours per day, which allows deliveries into the
wholesale markets as well as around the clock deliveries and collections to suit
all customer requirements.
Drivers are trained forklift operators and are able to load/unload themselves which assists customers in reducing their costs by not having to bring in extra staff at delivery/collection times.
Gamber Logistics has it’s own mechanic who not only offers an in house service programme but also roadside breakdown cover.
With specialist trailers such as refrigerated and potato bulkers at their disposal Gamber can either haul themselves or rent out to other operators, Gamber also have a wide range of other trailers which are cross hired such as liquid and dry powder tankers, low loaders and bulk blowers therefore offering customers a comprehensive package.
All of our HGVs are fitted with satellite tracking facilities, which allows
both Gamber and the customer’s to see where their product is at any time.
The Gamber fleet also includes smaller vehicles in the form of pickup’s and van with the carrying capacity of one and a half tonne.
Gamber has access to agricultural tractors and many types of trailers and implements, which can be hired with or without operator.
